VP Acquisition & Leveraged Finance, Investment bank

London or Paris, office-based role with 20 days per annum remote working

Our client delivers a broad range of advisory and capital-raising services for corporations, financial institutions, governments, and public-sector organisations globally. The Acquisition & Leveraged Finance (ALF) group, within the Global Finance business, is at the core of structuring and providing debt financing solutions to private equity and corporate clients.

There are two open roles in their Acquisition & Leveraged Finance group, one in London and one in Paris. These are key roles in executing a wide variety of transactions, from marketing to closing.

For the Paris role there will be European travel, approx once a month.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing client presentations, structuring, and execution activities
  • Building and analysing financial models and cash flow projections
  • Conducting benchmarking and comparative analysis of company financials and credit metrics
  • Performing detailed credit analysis, including due diligence and managing the internal credit approval process
  • Supporting the syndication of executed transactions by preparing information memoranda, bank presentations, and roadshow materials

Desired Profile, Qualifications, and Knowledge:

  • Prior experience in Leveraged Finance or related financial services experience
  • Strong understanding of debt/leveraged finance products and the European leveraged finance capital markets
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-based environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, including familiarity with financial modelling
  • MBA or equivalent qualification
  • Communicates effectively with different audiences and fosters strong internal networks
  • Demonstrates commitment to results, manages stakeholder expectations, and seeks feedback to improve performance
